Play Group

Children at Play group start exploring and interacting socially. This is the time they need to be given exposure to sensory materials and activities for their wholistic development.

At Footprints, we understand that young children grow and learn the most when they receive undivided attention and the right stimulation. As parents, you can be assured that our inclusive, engaging and interactive learning environments are capable of adapting to your child’s specific learning and development requirements.

Best Playgroup School for Toddlers in India- Footprints Childcare

At Footprints Education, we take pride in offering a Playgroup Program that is not just a place for your child to play, but a place for them to learn, grow, and flourish. We follows the HighScope Curriculum, awarded as "Leading Preschool in India" by BW education. Our Play group program is meticulously designed to foster essential skills, promote creativity, and ensure a seamless transition into formal schooling.

HighScope classrooms follow a predictable sequence of events known as the daily routine. This provides a structure within which children can make choices, follow their interests, and develop their abilities in each content area.

Choice Time
CHOICE TIME
  • Giving choices to children always helps in sharpening their decision-making skills.
  • At this time of the day children are given the choice and the required material to choose from and play with.
  • Under play group program, children then focus on how they can use their potential skills to transform a toy into an invention.
  • This is the time when we can see children creating farms from an empty carton and robes from old clothes.
Small Group Time
SMALL-GROUP TIME
  • A small group is a prerequisite for being child-centric to identify the individual strengths and challenges
  • The children here come in small groups and through the interaction with the teachers, they are closely observed and scaffolded to do each activity.
  • This time of the day provides the child a safe space to share and exchange ideas and express what they hold back due to inhibitions in a bigger group.
  • The play group activities here range from tracing letters, playing number games, solving puzzles etc.
Large Group Times
LARGE-GROUP TIMES
  • Under play group educational activities children learn the principles of working in a team and friendliness best in a larger group.
  • Here, children gather in a large group with their peers and teachers to engage in different play school activities
  • From taking turns, to taking lead and coordinating with the team, here children build upon their social skills.
  • Under play group learning program here, ranges from music, reciting in groups, dancing to story narrations, puppet shows and much more.
Outside Times
OUTSIDE TIME
  • In play group class, children learn best when exposed to environment and physically develop beyond the walls of the classroom.
  • Given to the weather, children along with the teachers spend around 30 mins each day in the outdoor area.
  • Here, children not only get to observe nature but also the most important facts of life are learnt here like climate, sun, clouds etc.
  • Children can be observed here, engaged in different physical activities along with honing their senses.
Transition Times
TRANSITION TIMES
  • This time of the day helps in creating an organised routine for the children. With a consistent daily routine child knows what next is going to take place.
  • Transitions are the gaps between other blocks of the day, like arrival to choose time or outdoor to small group time.
  • Whenever possible, play group kids are given choices on how to make the transition. For example, they may choose how to move across the floor on their way to small-group time.
Eating Times
EATING AND RESTING TIMES
  • Healthy meal and snacks allow children to enjoy eating healthy food in a encouraging social setting.
  • Rest is for quiet and solitary activities.
  • Children can be seen reading, engaging in self play during this time if they choose not to sleep.
