HighScope classrooms follow a predictable sequence of events known as the daily routine. This provides a structure within which children can make choices, follow their interests, and develop their abilities in each content area.

Choice Time
CHOICE TIME
  • Giving opportunities to children always helps in acuminating their decision-making skills.
  • At this time of the day children are given the choice and the apt material to select from and play with.
  • Focusing on what they can design, children can use their skills to transform a simple learning aid or a toy into an invention.
  • This is the time of the day when we can reflect children creating empty carton boxes into farms and old clothes into robes.
Small Group Time
SMALL-GROUP TIME
  • To identify the individual capabilities and challenges, a small group is a prerequisite for being child-centric.
  • In our best upper KG class program, children in small group interact with their mentors while they are being observed and scaffolded to do each activity.
  • In this time of the day the child is provided with a safe space to communicate and express what they hold back due to shyness in a larger setting.
  • The educational activities for U-KG class here range from tracing letters, playing number games, solving puzzles etc.
Large Group Times
LARGE-GROUP TIMES
  • In U-KG program for toddlers, they learn how to participate in a team and building communities best in a larger group.
  • Here, children gather in a bigger groups with their classmates and teachers to engage in different activities.
  • From taking turns, to taking lead and synchronizing with the team, here children build upon their social skills.
  • The extra-curricular activities for U-KG program comprises of music, group recitals, dance and story narrations, puppet shows and much more.
Outside Times
OUTSIDE TIME
  • Children learn the most when exposed to outside world and physically evolve beyond the walls of the classroom.
  • Given to the weather, teachers take all children in the outdoor area approximately for 30 mins each day.
  • To provide the best learning environment for U-KG children here, they not only observe nature but also the most important lessons of life are learnt like climate, sun, clouds etc.
  • U-KG children can be observed here, engaged in different physical activities along with honing their senses.
